MY REVIEW.

I was a set in my ways Brooks Adrenaline person, they were the 1st type I bought after gait analysis 6 years ago. Wouldn't change till I bought a pair of Brooks Ravenna in TK Max, I got then because they were cheap but I never really noticed much difference between the Adrenaline and the Ravenna.  My point here is the fact I was finally open to change.

Then one day I was in the New Balance outlet shop in Shap and a pair of 1080's were bought. 

What a difference,  these were like soft foamy cushions under your feet. New Balance are also very good at providing for wide feet so these shoes fit perfectly.  It was version 7 I bought, the picture is version 9. I have versions 7 & 8's and will have no worries about getting version 9. 

Wearing these on tarmac makes a big difference,  you dont feel like your pounding the road nor does it sound like you are. 

Off road, ok they are not grippy and would be no good on the fells. But I have wore them on other trail events where its dry paths, dry rocks etc. Will happily wear them on grass, especially when dry. 

My 1st pair of these lasted till 850 miles and even then they were still comfortable but it was time for retirement.  

I now buy whatever version I can get when I see a good price. 

These are my favourite go to shoes and I highly recommend them.
